Open Rehearsals
Open rehearsals offer middle, high school and college-age students an opportunity to observe The Florida Orchestra’s preparations for upcoming concerts and gain exposure to live, classical music. This behind-the-scenes look sheds light on rehearsal techniques, the art of problem-solving, and the beauty of music-making. Students will also have the opportunity to speak with the conductor, guest artist, or Florida Orchestra musicians in a Q&A format during the break or after the rehearsal. Information about registering for open rehearsals will be posted as it becomes available.
Morning Matinee Concerts
The Florida Orchestra has set aside a limited number of tickets for Morning Matinee Concerts for public, private, and homeschooled students in grades 6 through 12. To request tickets, please complete this form.Pre-Concert Lobby Performances
TFO spotlights young and local musicians by providing the opportunity to play in the lobby of the Straz Center, Mahaffey Theater, or Ruth Eckerd Hall before a Masterworks, Pops, or Morning Matinee concert. Performers and their teachers/chaperones will receive free tickets to attend the orchestra concert after they perform. Click here for more information.
