IRA Charitable Rollover Giving Opportunity
Are you looking for an easy way to make a big difference and help further The Florida Orchestra’s mission?
IRA charitable giving is a way you can transfer funds from your IRA directly to the Orchestra while realizing some important tax benefits.
If you are 70 ½ or older and own an IRA*, you can reduce your taxable income and lower your Social Security tax from your IRA withdrawals.
Additional Benefits of an IRA Charitable Rollover
- Gifts up to $100,000 annually are excluded from federal gross income
- Gifts count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
- Gifts are not subjected to the 50% deduction limit on charitable contributions
Act now as any transfer distributions must be received by December 31, 2017. Because of the high volume of year-end gifts, you’re encouraged to contact your IRA plan administrator now.
Thank you for considering this giving option and helping The Florida Orchestra end our year on a high note by furthering our mission of musical excellence in Tampa Bay.
