Samantha Flores joined The Florida Orchestra as the assistant principal librarian in September of 2023. She normally can be found preparing music and assisting with research for the orchestra’s upcoming repertoire. Prior to this position, Samantha worked with the Orlando Philharmonic and Jacksonville Symphony in both their orchestral libraries and finance departments.

During the summer, Samantha works as the librarian for the Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra in San Diego, California. Samantha is also an active member of the Major Orchestra Librarians’ Association. 

Samantha earned a bachelor of music in oboe performance from Stetson University, where she studied under Dr. Dione Chandler.

When she’s not busy in the library, she enjoys reading, playing board games, and snuggling with her sweet cat, Bowser.
