Erika Rohrberg
FLUTE/PICCOLO
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Erika joined The Florida Orchestra in September of 2026. Previously, she held the position of principal flute with the Cape Symphony and served as acting second flute and piccolo with the Boston Ballet. Erika began her professional career in 2023 and has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (including its 2026 tour to Carnegie Hall), Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Portland Symphony, Vermont Symphony, Boston Festival Orchestra, and Landmarks Orchestra.
A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, Erika completed her master’s degree as a student of Cynthia Meyers. She received her bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance and Music Management from The Hartt School in Hartford, CT, where she was a student of Janet Arms. Erika has been a participant in the Monteux School and Music Festival as well as the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival. While at NEC, her woodwind quintet had the honor of performing on a BSO Prelude Concert.
Erika began playing the flute at age 9 in her elementary school’s band program and began playing piccolo in high school. Now a private teacher herself, she strives to connect her students to the joy and exhilaration that come from creating music and sharing it with others.
Outside of the concert hall, Erika enjoys trying new recipes, spending time outdoors, and taking care of her many houseplants.
