Diana Galimova was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where she pursued her undergraduate studies at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. During her time at the conservatory, she performed numerous solo recitals with various orchestras and achieved recognition in international competitions as both a soloist and chamber musician. Diana won first prize in the competition of chamber ensembles in Uzbekistan and, as a member of a string quartet, she earned first prize at the International Competition “Shabyt” in Astana. In recognition of her exceptional academic achievements, she was awarded an honorary diploma by the Ministry of Uzbekistan in 2019. In her native Uzbekistan, Diana served as Principal Second Violin in the Turkiston Chamber Orchestra and held the role of Associate Concertmaster in the Soloists of Uzbekistan Chamber Orchestra.

Diana pursued further education in the United States, earning a master’s degree in violin performance at the University of North Texas under the mentorship of Professor Julia Bushkova. While at UNT, she received a position in the the Bancroft Quartet, which achieved success in numerous international competitions during her academic period.

In 2022, she secured the grand prize and a special award for unique interpretation at the UK International Music Competition as a violin duo with Sardor Djumaev. More recently, Diana participated in the Festival Napa Valley during the 2022-2023 summer seasons, and in 2024, she became a permanent member of the Britt Festival Orchestra. As a soloist, she has performed with the UNT Symphony, UNT Baroque Orchestra, and Shreveport Symphony, where she also served as Acting Principal Second Violin during the 2023-2024 season.

Over the past three years, Diana played with various orchestras across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Outside of music, Diana enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and baking. She is also a devoted animal lover.
