David Raschella, Assistant Principal/Utility

FRENCH HORN

David Raschella, a native of central New York, completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance from The Juilliard School and Rice University under the instruction of William VerMeulen, Julie Landsman, Erik Ralske and Michelle Baker.  In 2015 he was selected as a member of the New World Symphony in Miami, under Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas, where he performed for nearly three seasons before leaving the orchestra to begin his professional career.  

David has performed frequently with the Houston Symphony, including as an acting member for half of the 2022-2023 season. He has additionally played guest principal with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Utah Symphony. During summers, David has performed with the Lakes Area Music Festival and Sun Valley Festival Orchestra.

Outside of music, David enjoys playing golf, fishing and watching his hometown Syracuse Orange basketball team.
