Led by Chelsea Gallo, this program is a whirlwind tour of Great Britain — from royal pomp to movie magic, with plenty of charm along the way. You’ll hear the swagger of the James Bond Theme, the spellbinding world of John Williams’ Harry Potter music, and the colorful, anything-can-happen energy of Benjamin Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. In the spotlight, TFO Principal Percussionist John Shaw takes on Arcangelo Corelli’s La Folia — reimagined for marimba in a showpiece that’s equal parts virtuosic and fun. From stately to cinematic, it’s a lively, feel-good journey through the sounds of Britain.
