Holst’s The Planets: Masterworks

The Planets align with NASA images on the big screen for Holst’s supersonic trip through the galaxy. It’s been an inspiration since it premiered in 1918 – including to composer John Williams for the Imperial March for Star Wars. Also on the program is the Percussion Collective, a stunning collection of young artists who are reinventing the concert experience. They join forces with TFO for Christopher Theofanidis’ Drum Circles. Michael Francis conducts.

Bonus! For every Masterworks concert, Michael Francis has personally chosen a surprise “mystery piece” to enhance the live experience. What will it be this weekend?

The Percussion Collective appears by arrangement with Colbert Artists Management, Inc., 180 Elm Street, Ste I #221, Pittsfield, MA 01201-6552.

Ha sido una inspiración desde su estreno en 1918, incluso para el compositor John Williams para la Marcha Imperial de Star Wars.
