Youth Concerts

The Florida Orchestra partners with Tampa Bay schools to bring youth-focused concerts that engage students before, during, and after concerts. Tens of thousands elementary students experience the magic of a live orchestra performance paired with a comprehensive learning adventure. 

Pre-concert, teachers collaborate to design an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates music with various subjects. Students dive into the world of orchestral music through a series of engaging activities that include singing, listening, movement, and visual arts. This holistic approach ensures that students connect with the music on multiple levels, deepening their appreciation and understanding.  

By the time they attend the concert, students are not just passive audience members but active participants who have already explored and internalized the music in various creative ways.
