One Giant Leap
50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing
On July 20, 1969, humans walked on the moon for the first time. The Florida Orchestra will celebrate the 50th anniversary of this historic moment with a youth concert that explores space travel and music about the skies above us. This concert will feature stunning visuals from NASA’s exploration of the lunar surface and introductions to the instrument families of the orchestra.
The guide available at the link below provides resources for teachers to help your students imagine, sing, and dance along with this interactive concert.
Tickets: $6 per student for private and charter schools, on sale now. Schools will receive one free teacher/chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets purchased.
